I've always loved creating. From a very early age I was happiest when I would express my creativity by drawing and painting. Many years later, after the birth of my children, I quickly discovered the benefits of sewing. From cute baby clothes to creating detailed adult costumes, sewing allowed me to explore fabrics and textures to expand my creative ideas. Always looking to expand my creative knowledge, I experimented with jewellery- making many years ago by making a pair of simple dangle earrings. I was hooked! I researched everything about jewellery making—I watched endless tutorials, bought how-to books and I tried techniques over and over until I perfected them. From a pair of earrings, I went on to making bracelets, from bracelets to necklaces and so on.
Working from my home studio, in Ontario, Canada, I decided to start my first online jewellery business, Jewelshart, in 2009. I went back to reading everything—this time on opening and running a small business online, including an Etsy shop which opened later, in 2011. A variety of jewellery styles are offered on Jewelshart.com and Jewelshart.etsy.com from dainty modern necklaces and chokers to elegant Victorian statement pieces. Having created so many different styles, in 2019, I decided to shift my focus entirely on to the Victorian Gothic style and opened Gothic Grace. The transition from Jewelshart to Gothic Grace continues and many of the designs I have created under Jewelshart will become available on GothicGrace.com.
I solely design, create and manage Gothic Grace Inc and this website including the preparation of the shipping of all orders. I update the site with new creations as they are completed.
